Cloudy With Occasional Rain

Newest screenshot from my project. Going to Hawaii afforded me the ability to photograph real salt water creatures to put into this ocean scene. Cloudy With Occasional Rain… NOW WITH %100 MORE SHARKS! :3

One Year Anniversary

Holy crap people! I don’t know how hip your Google Calenders are, but mine alerted me that today is the official one year anniversary for rainy day explorer. Well actually it told me about it 3 days ago which I then promptly forgot and remembered again about an hour ago….

And just like every other one year old it’s still crapping all over itself while crying out for attention. Thankfully I’m here to clean up after it and make sure it doesn’t embarrass itself much further.

So thanks for being there whoever you might be, maybe you’re someone famous, maybe you’re working at walmart, or maybe you’re me (gasp!).

Cheers,
~t

Cloudy With Occasional Rain WIP #22 + #23

Here’s the latest screen capture of Cloudy With Occasional Rain, some things I’m not done blending in, like the boat, but we’re getting there…. Took a bit of a break from the whole thing, helps to come back to it after some time since things you didn’t notice earlier pop out at you now. New additions include building up the power shed on the top left, various plants, mosses, and vines, and added some more aquatic life (star fish). Still working on the roof over the arch way too, I’ll need to go back to the location and capture a better angle to properly match the stairs. And on that note I’m off to capture some more images for CWOR.

Unfortunately there was only one living thing on Mars and the Curiosity Rover Landed on it with style, Curiosity killed the cat….

I’ve received my first review!

Boy what a doozie of a review, I couldn’t have asked for as cool of a review as the one I received from “Gay Porn.” I’m not quite sure who Gay Porn is, so I’ll assume it’s the whole Gay and Lesbian community around the world, so I thank you guys + girls for your support!

I suppose the review could only be better if I was as good as Google, but I’m not a greedy guy, I don’t mind bowing down to Google, after all they help the world find free porn, I just take photos and mock spammers.

RIP Duchess

Sadly The Duchess has died this week, for over 25 years she was an icon in our city, year after year she was in Polson Park to great the tourists. She succumbed to recent injuries by an unknown attack. At 25 years old (just a year younger than me), she was considered old for that type of bird, having taken her photo now for over 9 years I would never have guessed she was that old. She’s seen a lot of changes to the park, just in my time alone there was the grandstand fire that burnt down a very old wooden grandstand, she’s seen many changes to the landscape and most notably the new hospital that rises up over the forest looking down into the park. Stories of her include a city worker who would go to work with her, she would help pick up debris into piles, and even had coffee break with him. She will be missed, especially by me since she was one of my favorite subjects to shoot in the park.

More Photographs of the Duchess can be found here.
